Conference Calls – Some Basic Problems

Nowadays, we live in one technological world full of stress and tension. However, this is the price that we have to pay in order to achieve progress and success. Because of that, we have to find different methods and alternatives that will help us to handle our both business and personal tasks as effectively as possible. And this is the reason why the 21th century is known as the century of the scientific and technological development. Therefore, these days we cannot imagine living without our communication gadgets. That is because we use them constantly. On one hand, technological devises help us to keep in touch our family and friends, when we are at work, for instance. And on the other, that way we maintain regular connection with our business partners abroad.

One of the most popular communication services that many companies, who work in the business sector, use, is known as conference call service. If you are aware of that service and you use it for your business purposes, let me tell you some basic problems that affect conference calls, in order to learn how to avoid them.

1. The first one is that many people late for their conference call sessions. In situations like that you can do two things. The first one is to schedule your conference calls with 5 to 10 minutes earlier. That way, people who late regularly for their conference call, will be able to be there on time. The second and more effective way is to use their guilt against them. Make them feel guilty of the fact that they are late. In this case, they will not make the same mistake again.

2. The second problem is that during your conference call there is a chance to be disturbed by background noise. To avoid that problem you can ask your colleagues to whisper when they need to say something to each other or to write notes.
