The VoIP Phone

VoIP Telephone
The VoIP technology is slowly gathering more and more recognition. In the past only selected few knew what exactly was VoIP, but now a broader audience is aware of that technology and what it does. The main reason for the VoIP technology to have more recognition these days is the special VoIP telephones which make the technology more accessible to people.

To be frank, the VoIP technology doesn't require a special phone. All the communication can be carried out with a computer and a headset, but the VoIP phone makes the whole technology that much easier to use and handle. Think about it if you want to call Uganda or any other destination, how would you rather do it, through a computer or with a ordinary phone, like you are used to.

The VoIP phone looks just like an ordinary phone, but there are some additional features as well. The VoIP telephone has a headphone, keypad, display. Most IP phones need a power source, because unlike regular phone which can function without electricity, these phones can't. Still there are phones that have batteries which means that they can function without power, too. The IP phone allows it user to send messages through it as well, not just to make calls.

Of course, like any other device the IP phones have some downsides as well. Yes, you can place cheap calls to Uganda with an IP phone, but, as it was already mentioned, this won't be a possibility if the electricity is down. Without Internet the phone is useless, because you cannot make or receive calls with it. If the internet connection is weak than the audio quality is very low, making it impossible to conduct a conversation.
