RUIM Card or SIM Card?

-->
RUIM Card, a removable user identity module card is more exactly an identification chip designed for mobile phones, a phones which are working on Code Division Multiple Access networks. This kind of card stores the user's personal info, the name, the account number, phone number, address books, and other settings as well. The RUIM card can be swapped on different compatible cell phones. Thus making it easy the user details transferred easily.

The activation process is quite simple with these cards. Once activated it must be inserted into a CDMA compatible handset. Afterwards the phone is ready to accept and make calls, through user's account.
In order the RUIM card to work on a handset, you must be aware if the mobile handset is unlocked. What are the differences between the RUIM card and the well known SIM card? The RUIM card was designed to duplicate most of the advantages that SIM card has.

A phone which is using a SIM card stores user's information on the handset device, if the users has the intention to change the phone all of the info must be transferred to the other handset. The unique feature of the RUIM card is that it has the ability to share and swap the information between the phones. By size and shape, the RUIM card is identical to the SIM card. However in order the RUIM card to work on a different phone it must be unlocked. Because of the different areas use different cell phone frequencies, the RUIM card in a GSM cell phone might not work in in all locations.
The main concern about the RUIM card is the security as it hold all the user's personal information. The availability of the RUIM card is mostly concentrated in Asia and North America, of course not all mobile carriers are using these cards. But these cards are preferable mostly by corporate clients and businessmen, as they offer big flexibility in international calling and conference calls.
